No wasted time on this trip as every step is expertly planned! Trip start day - choose either Wednesday or Thursday. Offered February - March.
Wednesday or Thursday- Guests arrive at The Estes Park Resort, a large modern, full-service resort on Lake Estes. It’s the perfect place to unwind and get ready for your winter adventure. If you don’t want to go anywhere, just enjoy the in-house bar and restaurant.
You can arrive in Estes Park either by the Estes Park Shuttle (which will also pick you up in Allenspark) or by car. If by car, your car will be parked at the Estes Park Visitor’s Center during the course of your trip. We’ll return you to your car at the end of your trip.
Thursday or Friday- After breakfast, you’ll be picked up and taken to The Warming House, outdoor store to be fitted for snowshoes followed by a full day of any level private snowshoeing with your guide. Off-trail snowshoeing, lunch with hot soup and chocolate- what's not to love. Luggage is transferred to the next destination, the historic Stanley Hotel, a favorite on the WTW route. Enjoy all things Italian at the local favorite, The Dunraven Inn.
Friday or Saturday- After a famous B&B breakfast, be transported with your guide to another great snowshoeing destination in Wild Basin finishing your day in the village of Allenspark and the Allenspark Lodge. This old historical inn, once a trading post, oozes with Colorado charm. Enjoy some time in the hot-tub before celebrating your adventure with dinner at The Fawn Brook Inn. You won’t be disappointed.
Saturday or Sunday- Breakfast is served at 9:00 and is a sit-down affair and not to be missed. If flying, try to make your flights in the afternoon which will give you plenty of time to get to the airport.
