This two-day seminar focuses on Rocky Mountain National Park's top predator, the mountain lion (Felis concolor).
A team of instructors, who are actively engaged in research on mountain lions in the park, will lecture on mountain lion
ecology, ongoing research, and human-mountain lion interaction. They will take students into the park for hands on
instruction in the tools and methods used in research and management. In addition to an academic overview, students will
receive practical instruction on how to read the signs left by mountain lions. After taking the course, students will be better
understand how the mountain lion fits into the Rocky ecosystem, including its relationship with the people and communities
