Postcards from Lodges Past
Bobbie Heisterkamp will give everyone a look inside those great old lodges in and around Rocky Mountain National Park. Take a trip back in time and look, through the eyes of a tourist in the early 1900s, at the wonderful interiors of some of the inns and hotels: the rustic wood furniture and fixtures as well as the amenities offered by the proprietors. Many of these hotels no longer exist except on old photographs and postcards from the era. Items from Heisterkamps collection will recreate the fireplaces, dining rooms and lobbies in our imaginations. There will also be a brief overview of the history of each lodge. Admission is free.
