The dedication of Wilderness at Rocky Mountain National Park is the culmination of an effort that began in 1974 and was jump started in recent years. Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will join members of the Colorado congressional delegation to dedicate Rocky Mountain National Park's new wilderness area and to celebrate public lands in Colorado at a 2 pm ceremony on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the YMCA of the Rockies. Senator Mark Udall, Senator Michael Bennet, Congresswoman Betsy Markey and Superintendent of Rocky Mountain National Park. Vaughn Baker, are expected to join in this celebration.
