July 31 Semi-permanent Vacations: Second Homes in the Rockies Historian Melanie Shellenbarger will elaborate on how folks made the move from vacationer to home ownership in Estes Park, including local notables like author William Allen White and entrepreneur F.O. Stanley. Part of the Science Behind The Scenery Series in the auditorium at Beaver Meadows Visitor Center in Rocky Mountain National Park. The Thursday programs begin at 7:30 p.m. and are free.
