The Imaginary Invalid, is a Jean-Baptiste Molere classic satire of the medical profession. The play deals with an eccentric, wealthy man who is the supreme hypochondriac. He is trying to marry his daughter off to a physician just to have a doctor around and reduce his great medical expense. His daughter loves another, his wife is after his money, his maid and son get into the mix trying to expose all the personal agendas and the result is a scathingly funny lampoon of hypochondria and quack medical professions.
