Glacier Basin is 6 miles south of the Beaver Meadow Entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park on Bear Lake Road. 150 sites are open from late May til early September. Reservations are recommended. Expect the campground to fill by early afternoon everyday in July and August, and weekends in June and September. Water to the campground is on in the summer but here are no electric, water or sewer hookups at any camp sites. Firewood and ice are for sale. The free Bear Lake Shuttle stops here to provide access to trailheads along Bear Lake road.

Camping fee $20/site/night. Length limit: 29 ft motor home / trailer. No more than eight people and two tents, or one vehicle and one camping unit (tent, RV, or trailer/tow vehicle) may occupy each site. Additional vehicles must park in overflow parking areas. Checkout time is noon.

There are also group sites for tents only. The fee is $3/person/night. Small sites fit 10-15 people, medium sites 16-25 people, large sites 26-40 people. There is no limit on the number of tents but no more than five vehicles per site.
