Entrance Fees, Fishing & Backcountry Permits

Rocky Mountain National Park Fees & Permits

FEE FREE DAYS in 2017 (Free Entrance into the Park):

January 16, February 20, April 15 & 16, 22& 23, August 25, September 30, and November 11 &12! 

Individual Park Entrance Fees

Day Use Pass for Automobiles & Motorcycles:  $20 - Valid for one day 

Automobiles : $30 - Valid for seven consecutive days, including date of purchase.
Motorcycles : $25 - Valid for seven consecutive days, including date of purchase. 

Pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles and mopeds: $10 per person, not to exceed $20 per vehicle. Valid for seven consecutive days including date of purchase.
 Available at all Rocky Mountain National Park entrance stations.

Annual Park Pass:  $50  (Please note - Annaul Park Passes will increase to $60/year on January 1, 2017)

Groups & Organizations

Members of non-profit groups and organizations (church, school, public service, etc.), arriving in vehicles with capacities of 15 or more and not qualifying for educational fee waivers, are charged $10 per person over 15 years of age (no charge for the vehicle driver)

Backcountry Camping

There is a $26 Wilderness Administrative fee for each trip reservation (not each night/not each person) from May 1 through October 31 (non-refundable and non-exchangeable).  For more information please visit the Backcountry Camping page.

Fishing License

For individuals ages 18 through 64, a $10 Habitat Stamp is required for the first license purchase of the year (April 1- March 31).

An annual fishing license for individuals 16-63 years old is $26 for Colorado residents, and $56 for nonresidents.  A five-day license is $21, and a one-day license is $9.  Fishing licenses can be purchased online, by calling 800-244-5613, or from a license agent.
