Lily Lake offers splendid views of Longs Peak and Mount Meeker amid rocky outcrops. A level packed gravel trail encircles the lake featuring educational exhibits. Accessible trail and fishing pier. Strollers permitted.

Enos Mills, the "father of Rocky Mountain National Park," enjoyed walking to Lily Lake from his nearby cabin. Check along the mile-long trail through this relatively low-elevation area for wildflowers in the spring and early summer.

The Homer Rouse Memorial Trail from Lily Lake to Fish Creek is open to runners, cyclists, hikers and horseback riders. Look for it across the highway at the Twin Sisters trailhead. The Loveland Reporter-Herald describes it as "an easy trip under a stunning sky"

In the winter the trail around the lake is often suitable for walking in boots, or as a short snowshoe or ski. Beautiful views of high park peaks.

Six miles south of the town of Estes Park on Highway 7.
