Entrance Fees, Fishing & Backcountry Permits

Rocky Mountain National Park Fees & Permits


FEE FREE DAYS in 2019 (Free Entrance into the Park):

January 21, April 20, August 25, September 28, and November 11 ! 


Individual Park Entrance Fees

Day Use Pass for Automobiles & Motorcycles:  $25 - Valid for one day 

Automobiles : $35 - Valid for seven consecutive days, including date of purchase.
Motorcycles : $30 - Valid for seven consecutive days, including date of purchase. 

Pedestrians, bicycles: $20 per person valid for seven consecutive days including date of purchase.
 Available at all Rocky Mountain National Park entrance stations.

Annual Rocky Mountain National Park Pass:  $70    
Annual Rocky Mountain National Park/Arapaho National Recreation Area Joint Pass: $75

Entrance Fees increased on June 1, 2018 to provide additional revenue for infrastructure and maintenance needs.

Commercial Tours

A fee will be assessed based on total passenger seating capacity, not the actual number of people.

Fees are good for the same group for seven days.

  • 1-6 people - $25
  • 7-15 people - $75
  • 16-25 people - $100
  • 26 & over - $200

Backcountry Camping

 
There is a $26 Wilderness Administrative fee for each trip reservation (not each night/not each person) from May 1 through October 31 (non-refundable and non-exchangeable).  For more information please visit the Backcountry Camping page.

Fishing License

For individuals ages 18 through 64, a $10 Habitat Stamp is required for the first license purchase of the year (April 1- March 31).

An annual fishing license for individuals 16-63 years old is $26 for Colorado residents, and $56 for nonresidents.  A five-day license is $21, and a one-day license is $9.  Fishing licenses can be purchased online, by calling 800-244-5613, or from a license agent.
